Introduction Blog

As part of our Extended Media BTEC, we have a Performing Arts Unit. Our first lesson was amazing; we got straight into the dancing. With the help of Ammrah Salvatore and Ms Hainstock we achieved successful lesson in Bollywood dancing.
First Ammarrah put a Hindi song on and Ms Hainstock taught us some basic moves such as moves such as moving side to side and pointing. Then Ammarrah put a Bollywood dance video that taught us how to dance.
As the first couple of time we felt embarrassed and started laughing, all the classmates got used to it. Well stood in a line and repeated the moves over and over again until we got it perfect. We performed in groups and we had fun.
In the beginning it was quit difficult as it was very fast, but as we practiced it, it became easy. We cheered our group on as some found it easy to dance but others found it quite hard because they were new to it. Everyone knew the music because it was well known "slum-dog millionaire Jai ho"was the song that we dancing to. The video that we learned from was from youtube and an Asian lady-was teaching us. youtueb
After our practice we got all the media teacher to come and join us, Mr. Chapman, Holly Thomas, Mrs Eyres, Ms Harris and Ms Hainstock all danced to the beat. At the end everyone enjoyed it and had fun.
